Events
are a great way to give your business exposure to
a large and continual audience. Keep in mind, events
can be:

• Seminars
• Workshops
• Grand Openings or Re-Opening
• Tradeshows
• Sponsorships of events
• Speaking engagements
Don’t
limit the idea of using an event to market your
business as being an exhibitor or sponsor. Host
your own! Or joint venture with a business that
compliments yours, or a preferred vendor and co-host
your own special event.
From
just one scheduled event, your contacts are now
people who actually attended, people who reserved
but did not attend, people who had interest and
requested information but did not attend, the companies
these people are associated with and everyone in
their Rolodex are potential through referrals.
Unfortunately,
emphasis is usually put on what will transpire during
the actual event. Necessary and profitable marketing
activities need to take place before and after event.
Pre-marketing activities are usually overlooked
and post marketing activities are conducted haphazardly
or just incomplete. When all marketing phases of
an event are properly executed and all opportunities
are taken into account an event has the potential
to keep building your business for a long, long
time after it has concluded.
